Didge felt so happy to be home
It had been 3 years
India seemed to be settling in well
She began to think about what she saw earlier
Declan and Kate
It used to be her
But she didn’t care about that now
She was looking at India who was playing on the floor and smiled
She’d been busting to see Rachel and Donna seeing as shed told no one she was coming back
She decided to ask Miranda and Steve to look after India and go for a walk
She looked around Lassiters complex
She saw Rachel and Donna walking into Charlies
She smiled and followed them
Rachel and Donna were sitting in Charlies with Rebecca and Declan
She went in and stood near the door just watching them
Declan was about to mention that he saw Didge earlier
But someone got in before him
“ Oh my god no way” Donna shouted before running over to Didge and hugging her
Rachel looked over and did the exact same thing
Declan stood up and went over
“ Hey Didge” he said
“ hi” was her only response and it was quite bitter too
“ why don’t we all go back to my place” Didge said
Declan didn’t know weather it meant him to but he came along anyway
They arrived back
India ran over to Didge and everyone looked at her as she ran in
Especially Declan
“ mummy” she shouted a she ran in
Didge picked her up
“ is this who I think it is” Donna asked
“ it sure is meet my daughter India Parker”
Declans face fell
“ daughter” he repeated to himself
Didge put India down
“ Indy this is your Auntie Donna and your Auntie Rachel “
India ran up to them
Didge smiled as she walked to the kitchen
And she prepared drinks for everyone
Declan came into the kitchen
“ do you need a hand” Declan asked
“ nope” Didge said getting the drink out of the fridge
“ so wheres Indias father” Declan asked
“ what “ Didge said snapping his head up
“ wheres her father” Declan repeated
“ hes back where I live” Didge said

She hesitated

He stopped after that
She went and got the drinks and carried them out
Declan thought
“ shes had a baby and shes in love”
he then remembered Kate

It was late at night
He tiptoed in
But it was to late
Kate had already spotted him
“ where’ve you been” she asked
“ out with Rachel and Donna” he said
“ and Bridget” Declan said slowely
“ whats Bridget doing back” Kate asked
“ I don’t know but I know shes in love with someone else” he said trying to reassure her
“ how do you know that” Kate said
“ cause she had a baby” Declan said

“ so have you told him yet” Rachel asked
Didge was putting India to bed
“ what do you mean” Didge said trying to avoid the subject

“ because I saw him with Kate earlier hes happy now if I go and tell him itll...” Didge said trailing off
“ I know but he has a right to know” Rachel said
Didge began thinking
He does have a right to know
But she didn’t know what to do about it
Next morning
Declan was about to go out with Kate
And they were about to go out to lunch

Didge was sitting with Donna
They didn’t say anything they just sat there
“ I have to tell him” Didge said beginning to get up and run out
Didge ran out of No.26 just in time to catch Declan walking out with Kate
She slowely began walking over to them but she stopped near a bust and stayed there
But just far enough so she could hear what they were saying
“ so are you you sure nothings going to happen between you and her” Kate said
“positive” Declan replied
“ I love you so much” Declan said
“ I love you to” Kate replied
It was enough to make Didge sick
She sighed and slowly walked back to No.26
“ howd it go” Donna asked
“ I didn’t tell him” Didge replied
“ why not” Donna replied
“ because what I saw out there was enough to make me sick” Didge replied walking off to check on India

Didge was talking to Rachel again
“ well like I said you should’ve told him when you found out you were pregnant” Rachel said
“ I know I should’ve but I couldn’t” Didge said
“ well go tell him” Rachel said
“ I tried to but Kate was there and I saw how happy Declan was if I tell him there are two ways he could react” Didge said

“ well he could blow of his head or he could feel responsibility towards India when I know that he wouldn’t be happy” Didge said
Rachel didn’t say anything back
“ ok then put yourself in my position imagine you had a baby with Ty but he was with someone else what would you do” Didge said
“ id tell him that I was pregnant” Rachel said
“ you know, your no help at all” Didge said walking out
She went out and sat on the curb in front of No.26
She saw Donna coming over with India
She stood up as India un over and picked her up
“ mummy I need a drink” India said
“ alright come on then Indy” she put India down but she ran off
“ India where are you going”Didge shouted running off
Suddenly India disappeared
But Didge ran in the direction she went in
“ India”
Didge called
She turned the corner
She breathed a sigh of relief
Declan was there keeping hold of her
“ I think this is yours” Declan said holding India
“ thanx Declan” Didge said going over
He started tickling India and she giggled
Didge smiled
“ its amazing how much she looks like you” Declan said
“ yeah” Didge said back
Declan handed India over to Didge
And they stared at each other for ages
“ Declan would you be able to come to my house this afternoon” Didge asked
“ yeah I should be able to why” Declan said
“ I need to talk to you its pretty important ill see you then” Didge said turning around and walking back

Rachel was sitting there with her
“ I cant believe im about to do this” Didge said
“ listen why I don’t I take India for the afternoon so you can talk” Rachel said

There was a knock at the door
“ oh god” Didge said
Rachel went over to India and picked her up
“ good luck” Rachel said before going out the back door
Didge slowly walked over to the door
She took a deep breath and opened the door

And Declan walked in
“ so what do you want to talk to me about” Declan said
“ do you remember when you broke up with me three years ago and I left the street” Didge said

“ actually do you wanna sit down or do you want a coffee” Didge said asking nervously

“ ok well when I left the street I meant to tell you something but I never told you and its pretty big” Didge said
“ your sorta starting to scare me now can you please tell me” Declan said

“ a few days before I left I found out I was pregnant” Didge said

“ India hasn’t had a father before and yes I am sorry I didn’t tell you about her when I found out but you were happy and I didn’t want to ruin that for you I just want India to know her father” Didge said
“ I cant handle this right now” Declan said

“ NO I really cant handle this” Declan said storming out

An hour later Rachel returned with India
“ hey little girl I missed you” Didge said picking up India
She kissed her cheek
And then she put her down and India ran off
“ so howd it go” Rachel asked
“ great Declan loves India and now were one big happy family” Didge said
Rachel looked surprised
“ how do you think it went” Didge said
“ I see” Rachel said
“ god ive been putting off for so long and now ive done it and I just don’t know what to do”
