No offence to you Suse but I really really really really really really hope they never read this. Unless it were to give them ideas *wink wink*. Well it may be push they need to make them see sense . But yes I would be mortified if they read it . Nearly finished the next chapter. Get ready for an almighty argument and high level coarse language...I may have to up my G rating to a PG-13 for this one .

DISCLAIMER - This story is fictional and in no way reflects the actions or day to day activites of the characters involved. In other words..ITS MADE UP!!
WARNING - Occasional coarse language and mobile phone abuse ;D.
James’ POV James threw his keys on the table in his apartment and headed for the fridge. He sighed when all he found was water and pip infested orange juice. He desperately hoped a beer would be lurking in the bowels of the fridge but he was soon disappointed. So instead he grabbed a water bottle and flopped into the lounge. After work was usually his workout time, but he just couldn’t get motivated. He replayed the day’s events in his head and chastised himself for putting pressure on her. After their conversation he could almost see the wall Eloise had put up between them and they didn’t speak on the way home at all until they pulled up in her driveway.
“Thanks,” she smiled half heartedly as she opened the door, “I’ll get Sal to drop me off again in the morning so you don’t need to worry.
“El,” he said sadly.
“”What?” she asked looking through the window at him.
“I’m sorry,” he said gently, “I didn’t want to make you feel uncomfortable…I just…”
“You have nothing to be sorry for. I am just really tired,” she lied, trying to reassure him, “I had a late night, early start…you know me.”
“I’ll see you tomorrow,” she said as she turned and headed inside.
Yes he did know her, knew that she was annoyed with him. She told him she was too tired for dinner that night, but it was obvious she was avoiding being alone with him. He wanted to call her and sort it out, but he was hesitant to push any further. His stomach ached, and he didn’t know if it was from hunger or anxiety. The pantry didn’t have much more to offer than the fridge, and he had to settle for some instant noodles. However when he sat down to eat them his appetite seemed to disappear and he twirled them with his fork for the next half an hour, leaving them cold, sodden, and inedible.
“This is ridiculous,” he muttered to himself. He grabbed his phone and dialed her number….
Eloise’s POV Eloise threw her bag on the lounge in her apartment and headed for the fridge. She was pleasantly surprised to find not only a plate for dinner, but a bottle of wine open as well.
“Just what I need,” she sighed as she grabbed a glass and poured herself a generous helping.
“Aagh you’re home,” Sal said as she came out of the bathroom, rugged up in her pyjamas, wet hair wrapped in a towel. Eloise smiled meekly at her as she warmed her dinner up in the microwave.
“So, how was it?” she asked cheekily.
“OK I suppose,” she replied absent-mindedly.
“Oh! Well the first time is never that great you know. There is always this huge expectation but then it just...well…sucks really,” Sal replied seriously.
Eloise merely looked at her and rolled her eyes.
“You know sometimes I think you should be the actress and I should be the nurse,” Eloise said.
“Why,” Sal said quizzically.
“Well I am more matter-of-fact and realistic, and you…well…you love living in a fantasy world,” she answered.
“There is nothing wrong with living in a fantasy world you know. There should be more of it. Now what is wrong with you? Did you and James have a fight?” she said as she began to dry her wet hair.
“I don’t know what we had. It wasn’t a fight. But I definitely hurt his feelings and I feel really bad about it,” she said as she played with her dinner.
“What did you say to him,” Sal asked as she watched Eloise stab at her food.
“Nothing…that’s the problem. He wanted something from me and I just walked away. I was awful to him,” she sighed as she put her fork down, finally deciding that she couldn’t tolerate food right now. The more she thought about it the more restless she felt.
“Maybe you should call him, sort this out before you make yourself sick over it,” Sal suggested gently.
“But I don’t know what to say to him. That’s why I walked away in the first place, and I still have no idea what to say,” Eloise confessed before downing quite a few mouthfuls of wine.
“Then sleep on it. You’re tired and frustrated by the look of you. Everything is always clearer in the morning,” Sal replied as she ran a brush through her hair.
“Yeah I will actually. Thank you,” she said as she gave her friend a hug.
Eloise had a quick shower and climbed into bed. Getting to sleep was usually never a problem for her, but it was that night. She lay there wide-awake, and wondered what James was doing, and why he said what he said.
“Why can’t we just leave things as they are,” she said out loud to nobody.
Then her phone rang and broke the silence.
James’ POV James felt a wave of nerves rush over him as the phone started ringing. He had no idea what he was going to say but he had to say something. He couldn’t bare another minute wondering what was going on in that head of hers. It rang until it went to voicemail. He hung up and tried again, and when it rang out a second time he knew then that she was deliberately not answering.
“She’s not getting out of it that easily, “ he said to himself.
Annoyed he sent her a text message –
Don’t ignore me. Answer the phone. J
Eloise’s POV Eloise grabbed her phone and saw James name flash on the screen. Even though she felt bad, she wasn’t in the right frame of mind to speak to him about it yet. She stared at her phone, willing it to stop ringing and finally it did. But seconds later it started again, this time she closed her eyes until it stopped. She realized that James would be well aware that she was avoiding him, and his text message that came through seconds later confirmed that well and truly.
James’ POV “God dam you Eloise,” James said through gritted teeth when his third call went unanswered. He sent her another text message.
If you don’t answer I’m coming over. J
In no time at all he finally got a response back from her.
“I’m asleep. Talk 2morrow. E”
Furious, he dialed her number again.
Eloise’s POV “Hopefully he will get the message from that,” Eloise sighed, but again her phone rang.
“Aaargggh,” she growled in frustration as she felt anger welling up inside of her. She grabbed the phone and by this stage she was certainly in no mood for pleasantries.
“WHAT?” she yelled down the line at him. Her tone put him off instantly.
“Stop F@%&ing ignoring me,” he yelled back at her.
He was waiting for her to retaliate, but what he got back was even worse…silence.
He waited for what seemed like an eternity for her to say something and he could almost see steam coming out of her ears. He was almost relieved when she finally spoke.
“How dare you speak to me like that,” she said seething on the other end of the phone.
“And how dare you deliberately ignore me like that,” James replied icily.
‘I told you I would talk to you tomorrow. That’s hardly ignoring you. Wake up to yourself,” she spat back at him.
“Well I want to talk now, and we are going to sort this out…tonight,” James shouted.
“What’s to sort out? I am tired and I want to be left alone for a while…that’s all. So why don’t you stop pestering me and let me get some sleep. See problem solved,” Eloise yelled back at him.
She hoped not making a big deal of that afternoon’s conversation, or lack thereof, might make the situation go away. But she didn’t have much success.
“Why did you walk away from me when I said I wanted more?” James was tired of skirting around the issue and decided to get straight to the point.
Eloise again was silent. Her mind was spinning and she couldn’t think straight. At that point her feelings for him didn’t even come into consideration as her anger at him for putting her in that situation overtook her.
“What do you want me to say James. We discussed this at length if I recall and we came to a decision together. We were going to wait, and it’s hard enough without you saying things like that.”
“Oh well excuse me for expressing my feelings. It’s quite obvious that I want this relationship more than you anyway. It’s been that way from the beginning,” James replied coldly.
“WHAT? You know nothing about my feelings,” she said, shocked at his assumption.
“Exactly,” he exclaimed, “because you never tell me. You never let go and just enjoy us being together. You always have to put this wall up around you.”
“Well one of us has to be a grown up and be responsible in this situation, and I don’t see you putting your hand up,” she said raising her voice even more, “the way we carried on today was unprofessional beyond belief.” She felt bad almost as soon as she uttered the words but she certainly wasn’t expecting his reaction.
He took a deep breath, but the fact that she saw his need and desire to be with her as childish and irresponsible hurt him deeply and the anger he was trying to contain exploded in a furious outburst.
”Irresponsible am I? Fine! I’ll put my hand up and be responsible by ending the whole situation right now if that’s what you want. If it’s all too hard for you…it’s over…for good,” he screamed at her down the phone.
That was like waving a red flag to a bull. Eloise couldn’t believe the way he had just spoken to her and she exploded right back.
“You f%#$ing bastard',” she spluttered in shock, “Nothing could make me happier.”
She wished she had one of those old chord phones so she could slam it down in his ear, pressing a button just didn’t have the same affect, so she hung up on him and threw her phone at the door instead. It hit the wall hard, chipping the paint, and dislodging the battery as it landed on the floor.
James’ POV James was overcome with rage. After she had hung up on him he tried to call her straight back. He wasn’t finished yet, but he was greeted with her voicemail instead.
“She has turned her f&%@ing phone off,” he said incredulously.
This infuriated him even more as he threw his phone into the floor...hard. Luckily it bounced and was still in one piece. He paced around the room trying to calm himself down. He felt sick about what he said to her. He didn’t want to end it, and he hoped she knew that, hoped that she didn’t mean what she said either. He couldn’t stand it any longer. He grabbed his keys and headed out the door.
Eloise’s POV “What the hell?” Sal stuck her head in Eloise’s door when she heard the loud thump. Sal had heard her yelling but her voice was too muffled to make out what she was saying. She found Eloise on the bed with her head in her hands, and her phone in pieces on the floor.
“Wow! I think I only need one guess as to who you were fighting with,” Sal said with raised eyebrows.
Eloise sighed loudly as Sal sat next to her and gave her a hug. They sat there in silence for quite a while as Eloise tried to get her anger under control.
“Why does James have to be so… I don’t know…infuriating,” she asked through gritted teeth, not really expecting an answer.
But Sal was going to give one anyway.
“That’s easy. He’s crazy about you, and you’re crazy about him.”
‘Pffft! At this moment I couldn’t care less if I never see the fu….” She jumped suddenly as her tirade was rudely interrupted by a loud and persistent thumping on the door.
Tbc….

Love love love it, it makes me even more irritable that the people on Nfans will never get to see it but heyho, tis the way of the world. Can't wait for more!
