Current stars of Neighbours celebrated 25 years and 6000 episodes of the soap with a party at The Olsen in Melbourne. Sam Clark, who plays Ringo Brown, will be leaving the show at the end of the month to pursue his singing career and was joined by his fellow cast mates. Even though initial reports were laughed off, rumours of a Kylie Minogue cameo continue, as the former star of the show is in the Australia visiting sister Dannii and new baby Ethan. Among the Neighbours turning out to celebrate were Scott Major, Ryan Moloney, Matthew Werkmeister, James Sorensen, Marisa Julia Siketa, Margot Robbie, Ashleigh Brewer, Valentina Novakovic, Jane Hall and Janet Andrewartha. Unfortunately, the future of the show remains uncertain after it hit a record-low 534,000 viewers last month

He left Neighbours to join the army, but James Sorensen has instead become a professional photographer.
The actor, who played Declan Napier in the series, departed the show in April.
But his former castmate and on-screen mum Jane Hall told British website Holy Soap the actor quit the army due to injury and was working behind the camera as a photographer.
"He's back doing bits and pieces of acting work in Australia and is pursuing other lines in the creative world as well," she said.
"He's a very talented performer."

James Sorensen's fans were distraught when he quit the role of Declan Napier to pursue a military career.

But after suffering an injury the 24-year-old actor has left the army and is now pursuing a career as a photographer, his former co-star has revealed.

Jane Hall, who played Declan's mum Rebecca Napier, revealed: "I am still in touch with James. He's not with the army anymore because he injured himself but he's now a professional photographer.

"He's back doing bits and pieces of acting work in Australia and is pursuing other lines in the creative world as well. He's a very talented performer and I don't think he'll be wanting for opportunities."

There is a James impersonator that I've seen on fb, quite funny because people are always saying they are thinking about him in the army, praying for him etc and 'he' does status updates and it is blantantly obvious it isn't him...

Double Declan!

Erin Mullally filmed his final Neighbours scenes last month and he was joined on set by James Sorensen, the actor from whom he took over the role of Declan Napier last May. James, 24, came to wish Erin well for the future and to see his "girls" - twins Alia and Gabriella de Vercelli, who play Declan's on-screen daughter, India. "I couldn't miss this," he smiles. Despite leaving the show to join the army, it seems his stint in the military was brief. "He isn't with the army anymore because he injured himself, but he's now a professional photographer," explains Jane Hall, who plays Declan's mum, Rebecca. Jane also hints that James may be back on our screens soon. "He's doing bits of acting... and pursuing other lines in the creative world," she says. "He is a talented performer. I doubt he'll be wanting for opportunities."
