Gosh I am really struggling with this one now. I have used up all my good ideas that I had for this fic. Writers block is definately looming.
I fear this chapter is a bit dull...sorry

As promised they didn’t mention Eloise’s departure again over the next few days. They only concentrated on each other.
By the time they left, Eloise had a perfectly symmetrical set of love bites, and James did too…as revenge...but he was as proud as punch of his.
James wasn’t too far behind her, but she had a housemate’s mind to toy with first.
“
Sal,” she hollered as she burst through the front door.
Sal was in the kitchen and had watched her come up the drive, but after hearing Eloise’s tone she was a bit nervous.
“Hi there,” Sal said tentatively as she stuck her head around the corner, “so how was the cabin?”
“How do you
think?” she yelled feigning annoyance.
Sal stood there mouth agape…she was sure they would work things out.
“I mean, telling him where I was, when I specifically asked you not to. I could kill you,” she continued.
Sal stared at her in disbelief, visibly upset. Eloise couldn’t make her suffer too long though.
“But…right after I hug you,” she said turning her frown into a smile as she opened her arms out wide.
“Oh you
bitch,” she shrieked as she hugged her excitedly.
Sal pulled away and could see the glow on her friends face.
“Eloise you know that I would never betray you…but…this time…especially after talking to James… I knew I was doing the right thing.”
“I know that Sally. I know that you have my best interests at heart…so thank you,” Eloise said becoming a bit emotional.
“Awwww…I am so happy for you. So you sorted things out then?’ she asked raising her eyebrows suggestively.
“Uh huh,” she smiled; breaking out in goose bumps just thinking about it, “many, many times over.”
“Awwww…I thought you were walking funny,” Sal sighed proudly.
“I am
NOT!” she laughed. Sometimes the things that came out of her mouth left her mortified, but in stitches of laughter at the same time.
“I hope you’re not laughing at my expense,” James said appearing at the door suddenly.
“Hey! That was quick,” Eloise said as she sprung up to meet him kissing him softly.
“Of course we’re not laughing at you. Eloise was just giving me a blow by blow description of your weekend together,” she said cheekily, the innuendo making James roar with laughter and Eloise’s jaw hit the floor.
“You are
unbelievable,” Eloise shrieked as she finally recovered.
“Yes I know…that’s why you love me,” she teased.
“Mmmm…that’s debatable,” Eloise said blankly.
“Anyway, I’ll leave you two love birds alone. I have to go to mums. She bought a new dvd recorder but has no idea how to use it…you know…old people,” Sal said as she grabbed her keys and said her goodbyes.
“So,” Eloise said as she wrapped her arms around his neck, “It’s going to be strange sleeping in separate beds tonight.”
“Oh we’re not,” he said matter of factly, “I can’t sleep without you now.”
She smiled lovingly at him as he played absent mindedly with her curls.
“Well you can safely stay over here, but its going to be more awkward with me staying at your place, and aren’t Sam and Rob going to wonder where you are," Eloise questioned.
“Then we will just have to tell them. Sam is a good friend to both of us…we can trust him, and Rob…he well and truly needs to know. I certainly don’t want him having anymore fantasies about you that’s for sure,” James said, bitterness clouding his tone.
“That’s probably a good idea,’ Eloise thought aloud, “I missed you just during the hour drive back here.”
“I missed you too,” he whispered as he slowly began kissing her neck seductively, “and I think we really need to christen your bed.”
It had only been a couple of hours since they last made love, but their desire for each other was only strengthening with each passing day.
His lips worked their way up to hers, until she pulled way and began to lead him to the bedroom.
“Well it’s all very clear now,” a stern voice from the door interrupted them.
They both spun around to see Susan Bower standing outside the door.
“Fuck!” James muttered under his breath.
I really don’t want to do this now, Eloise sighed to herself, and she could feel her heart pounding wildly in her chest.
The 3 of them stood there staring at each other until Susan finally spoke.
“Can I come in?” Susan asked sternly.
Eloise silently moved to open the screen door and Susan walked in without saying a word.
She turned to face them and folded her arms.
“So is this why? Is this why you are quitting,” she asked in a raised voice looking Eloise dead in the eye.
James wished he could sink into the floor.
“It had a bit to do with it, but it certainly isn’t the only reason,” Eloise responded quietly.
Susan sat down and shook her head.
“I suppose I should have known something was going on between the two of you, but I honestly thought you were both too professional to act on it. I can’t begin to tell you how disappointed I am in you…both of you. Don’t you know how these things flings always turn out?”
Eloise could feel herself getting agitated, and even though she knew where Susan was coming from, she didn’t appreciate the lecture, or her presumption that they were merely having a fling.
“Well I can assure you that this is more than a fling,” she said huffily, “ Susan I appreciate your disappointment that your storyline wishes aren’t going to come to fruition, but we haven’t committed a crime, and to be honest with you…. I can genuinely say I have had enough. Even if James and I weren’t together I know that I still would have come to the same decision.”
Susan listened to her intently and was quite surprised at what she said.
“I had no idea you felt that way,” she said confused, “why didn’t you come and see me? We could have worked something out…we still can. What can I do to make you stay on?”
“There is nothing you can say really, or anything you can change. I’ve had enough of the whole process. I want to be challenged by live theatre again…I need to study…and of course not having to hide my feelings for this guy here,” she said affectionately as she put her arms around him, “ is just a bonus.”
Susan sighed loudly.
“James you’re quiet. What’s your opinion on this? You are going to be the one most affected.”
“Well I am disappointed obviously,” he said sadly as he stroked her back, “but it’s her decision, and her career. I know that we love each other, and that we’ll be together whether she stays or goes.”
Eloise smiled at him appreciatively. She feared that it would constantly be a source of arguments over the next few months, but what he had just said put her fears to rest.
“But it’s not only James that will be affected Eloise…there is Steve and Nikki, and Fletcher. Without you I really can’t see a future for them. Have you thought of that?” Susan argued…becoming desperate now.
Eloise
hadn’t thought of that, but to be honest she had no idea if any of them had any intention of re-signing anyway.
“Susan I really have no idea what their intentions are, and to be honest I am a bit annoyed that you feel their characters aren’t strong enough without Bridget. I think that’s very harsh.”
“Yes it is harsh Eloise…but I can only be honest,” Susan said seriously, “Look I really don’t think we will get anywhere today. We still have 2 weeks before filming resumes. I want you to think seriously about it some more, then we will all meet and discuss it at length.”
“OK that’s fair,” Eloise agreed, “but I won’t change my mind.”
Susan sighed as she headed for the front door, but just when she thought her predicament couldn’t get any worse, James spoke.
“Eloise may not change her mind…but I have. I’m not coming back either. I want you to tear up my contract.”
Tbc…
