How would you have Declan exiting?

Obviously if he's being recast, there's probably little chance we'll see this happening, but if you were the writer, what would you have as Declan's exit storyline?

Personally I'd have it quite low-key, that he leaves to take India to visit Oliver or the Parkers but only for a visit, until Rebecca mentions he's staying there.

I would have him move to Queesland near the Parkers, or just move away from Erinsborough.

I know I have posted this before but as we are now runnung a thread on it, I would kill him off like this:

If they kill him around about India's first birthday which is roughly when his contract will run out anyway then Declan can dream of those gardens that Didge dreamed about in her death dream sequence and Dec, India and Didge could have there picnic as Didge predicted in her Dream. But then when they do the scene where Didge is walking towards the light and she turns around to face Declan and India, Rebecca has now appeared and is holding India with Declan standing next to them Dressed in White. Didge says to Dec "Come on Dec we have to go." Dec Kisses India goodbye for the last time, gives Rebbecca a hug and then walks towards Didge. When Dec reaches Didge he holds her hand, Kisses her and then they both walk into the light holding hands. They stop in the light, turn around and Wave to Rebecca and India and then they just fade into the light.

That way Decget are re-united. India can stay on screen with Rebecca and nobody can bring Declan back and ruin his character again in the future. Plus Didge gets to appear in an episode in the 25th Anniversary Year. The Dream Sequence would probably only take a Day or two at the most to shoot on location so Eloise should be able to fit them in around Uni/other acting commitments. And I think it would be a very fitting end for Declan. India is too young to remember anything or be aware of what is going on so it shouldn't be too bad for her. It Just seems the perfect way to finish things.

I would have Declan either have a sensational exit like a death or just let him leave happily with Indy.

I am starting to think that Didge was too good for him. She should have stuck with Josh...he was to die for in The Last Song...and he got the use of his legs back ;D.

in fact kate has ruined declan for me. I used to think James was so fit when he was with Didge and now he just looks like a jumped up little squirt

Didge wouldnt have moved on that quickly if it had have been Dec.... i can tell you that for nothing! she loved being Indy's mum and she would have focused on just being Bridget and India's mum.... not go around fucking everything that moves!
