Found these in my searchings today, first one from the UK Press Association. Nothing new really, but I thought it was nice. Pretty sure I was on verge of tears reading though.

NEIGHBOURS star James Sorensen said he has been "humbled" by the response of fans to the news that his part is being recast.
James has quit the show to pursue interests outside of TV, and the role of Declan Napier will be played by Erin Mullally.
When told that many fans don't think it will be the same without him, James said: "I'm very humbled that a lot of people think that - I can understand why fans would feel that way because I starred as Declan for the past three years and that's all anyone knows."
He added: "Erin will come in and play his version of Declan, he can't play it exactly as I do and I and the producers would never expect him to do it any other way. All I can say to the Declan supporters is that Erin will be terrific, give him a go, you'll be surprised."

NEIGHBOURS star James Sorensen said his screen replacement doesn't need much advice on how to play Declan Napier as he has his own ideas.
James is leaving the role after more than two years in Ramsay Street, and Erin Mullally will carry on in his place.
In an interview with Holy Soap website, the departing star said: "Erin is coming in as an actor and he is a great actor, and he has his own ideas on how to play Declan - the only advice I've given him is not to stress out because it's a very fast-paced show, probably one of the hardest actor jobs in Australia."
Erin has already started work, and James has been on hand to discuss the character and his history.
James said the change-over from one actor to the next will be "nothing over the top".
"I'm Declan one day and the next day it's Erin. Pretty simple. That's how it works, I can't continue so Erin comes in and picks up the baton. I think it's easier for the viewers to accept when it's a simple change-over."
He admitted it will be strange to see someone else playing the part.
"Of course it will be strange to see someone playing the part that I started and basically created, it's been my life. It's not just being Declan at the studio, I get 'Declan' on the street, at restaurants, everywhere. Declan is me so to hand it over is difficult."
I am crying now. Nothing special in the change over. This makes me ijdgdfjgibhdjgdbngijrbnjgfh facatia.

Found this article too, made me feel good for a second.
28th November 2009 NEIGHBOURS stars James Sorensen and Ashleigh Brewer are in Rockhampton today to put a smile on some children’s faces.
James, who plays young father Declan Napier in the Australian soap opera, yesterday spoke to The Morning Bulletin about his trip to Queensland with Ashleigh, who plays Kate Ramsay, to attend the Golden Casket Variety Special Children’s Christmas Party.
The event at the Rockhampton Showgrounds is invitation-only for children with special needs who have been nominated by their doctors, hospitals and carers as children who need and deserve to have fun.
About 1000 children with special needs and their families will celebrate Christmas with the two stars, and will be given the star treatment, with presents amusement rides, jumping castles and face painting.
James said he couldn’t wait to see the children’s smiles.
“We love our Christmas parties,” he said.
“It is a little bit confronting because it’s not what we are used to, but it’s fantastic to see the smiles.”
James said he and Ashleigh would try to talk with and sign autographs for as many children as they could to try to make the day extra special for them.
He said the trip would be a little break from their 12-hour day filming, and was “lovely to give something back” and help charities.
“Doing a studio show like this (Neighbours) you don’t have an audience and you don’t see your fans.
“We are very fortunate,” he said.

Desparation thy name is Neighbours! How can we make this couple more acceptable? We'll send them to go and kiss the sick kids. It's nice to know that James feels humbled by our appreciation though.

Ha Chris. ;D Bah. I hope Neighbours also bunged those kids a giant wad of cash each or some sort of new school medical wing or something in addition to the wonderful gift of Kacklan's presence. ^God that was pretty mean spirited of me wasn't it. It is sort of nice of them I suppose. James' words about being humbled were pretty sweet. Thanks for posting it, Hannah.

While I am very annoyed at her being in his presence with the date on that last article, although they had kissed in the episodes at Aus pace that week, as far as viewers knew, they were still a while off being a couple.
Just being a bit of a devil's advocate...

Man in uniform
Another Neighbour heading to new pastures is James Sorensen, with TV WEEK able to reveal he's off to join the army! After filming his final scenes as Declan on Ramsay Street, James will turn his back on acting, don his fatigues and sign up as a new recruit. "He's really serious about it," says Jordan Smith, who plays bad boy Andrew Robinson. "It's just something he really wants to do." But Jordan reveals he's "not happy at all" about his pal's decision. "He's been training really hard, but I wish he'd stay," Jordan says. "He's become a really good mate. I've told him he's going to get shot on his first day, but he's adamant he wants to go." And while it's no surprise James is taking a break from TV, given he told us last month that "there are other interests that I want to persue" we thought there was more chance of the soap star becoming a singer than a soldier! We wish James the best of luck in the army.

Thanks to Carly.

:/ its out now...far out I was under the impression that James wanted it keep it quiet otherwise he'd have bloody said he was going in the army in the first place....wonder if James agreed to it coming out because it doesn't actually say anything about HIM saying, only Jordan.... Pft singing.... thanks suse for posting.
