A place to let off your Neighbours and Decget frustrations in a friendly and relaxed setting, free from these pesky non-obsessives who might elsewhere tell you to give it a rest, "it's just a TV show". Etc and so on.
Keeping it within forum rules so:
-no excessive character or actor-bashing etc. Not going to come down too hard on that but use your judgement.
-no over the top swearing.
And I've made it a spoiler thread (let's face it that's where most of the ARGH is directed at the moment) so if you don't want to know about future storylines, look away now.
But other than that: vent away!

I second your ARGH Kate, and raise you another ARGH! Worst thing I've read since we found out Didge was going to die. Just rubbing salt in the wounds if they go down any Kacklan route. Maybe Ashleigh knows about us mad obsessive Decget fans, and wanted to dig the knife in, knowing we'd jump to conclusions But really nothing is planned for Kate and Dec. That is my new theory and I'm sticking to it, cause Lord knows, the other possibilities are just too distressing  |

That is a good theory... I am trying to do the same, but I just don't know if I have the emotional strength to deal with this new blow. But fingers crossed everyone!
Seeing as we've been outraged about the possibility for several months now, maybe someone's read it and noticed and nipped it in the bud. Ooh I do hope so! Does anyone know of any kind of rain dance we could do?

Don't know any rain dances unfortunately, but I hear Voodoo dolls can be useful in situations like this. Drastic times call for drastic measures! Jokes! I'm not that mentally disturbed, honest.

I'm probably reading way too much into this but you know that bit about James saying that he "felt very strongly that Dec wouldn't get over it in 4 weeks" i thought '4 weeks' strange thing to say. And the formal is about 4 weeks after Didge dies isn't it? hmmm....lets hope he kyboshed anything that was being planned!!!!
And completely random point to make but am appalled at some of the comments going around about Sunny on the web. Just awful. I cannot understand why you would continually bash a character/actor - i swear a bit of Eloise "had enough of the neighbours experience" came from the fan bashing. Just makes me feel ashamed that these idiots think it's funny

You went and said the psycho thing so I didn't have to! Was about to ask if anyone knew anything about Voodoo dolls instead myself actually (because I think rain dances are probably more to do with warding off rain than upcoming soap opera storylines?  ) but probably had the same concern that you did about what people would think of my mental health... Anyway.  And yep I must add at this point the usual disclaimer that I actually think Kate could potentially be quite likable, and it's just this awful rumour that's making me see her in a bad light. So Neighbours writers, if you're reading, you know how to fix this! ETA: Yup I feel the same about people who go over the top about characters too, think that's why I like that we've got that as one of our main forum rules here in a way. The Sunny thing on facebook it makes me so angry. Besides that I actually quite like her, it's just massive scale adult bullying if you ask me... they should be ashamed of themselves. ...And, once again, I'm ranting.  |

i'm already missing decget enough as it is without seeing kate/ashleighs comments about declan/james gahh
lets just hope this scene is not romantic....lets hope its declan telling her not to go near him or india again!....false hope i know.

That's not a bad theory Lia! She could well have a thing for Dec, and he tells her to rack off - although he'll probably be more caring than that and tell her nicely, but either way, he tells her to leave him alone.
But the way they're writing Kate, to be all motherly and serious, I can't see them wanting the audience (or the Decget fans especially) to not like her. But even before rumours of Kacklan began, I didn't like Kate. And I still don't. She's quite mean to people, especially to those that tried to help her at the beginning (ie Dan and Suse) she's got no spark or personality yet as far as I've found, and she just generally bores me. But then all the Ramsays do, so it's not just her. I know you have to give characters time to grow on you, and their storylines effect you, but they've been on the show a few months now, and I still haven't warmed to them. Whereas I warmed to the Parkers and Declan (well not warmed to him then, seeing as he was a teenage menace pulling a little kid into his petty crime spree! But he intrigued me and piqued my interest) literally from their first scenes. I still doze out of anything Ramsay related.
And Kate - I'm glad you were thinking the same about the Voodoo dolls, even if you didn't write it. I don't feel such a horrid person now! Lol!

The Ramsays havent grown on me, that could be something to do with the fact that i was either very young or not born yet when the rest of the family was on the screens, the Timmins did, the Parkers and the Napiers have always been favourite family's, i love Declan and Rebecca's mother/son relationship...one that i hope will be passed down to Declan/India as a father/daughter relationship.

Well put it this way, it would be a fun thing to act for her... in a way! (Look at me struggling to find non-bashing angles to look at this here ) And then some other bloke (that guy who's related to Heath Ledger who's playing a role soon apparently, maybe?) comes along and comforts her and tells her that Declan isn't good enough -which isn't strictly true obviously- but we'll pretend to be massive shippers of this new ship with Kate and this guy and write fanfiction and stuff so that they think it's really popular, thus putting a last nail in the Kacklan coffin so we can all be happy again. Sorted. |

mm well anyone who was there and knew Didge cannot get with Declan..it's wrong, i couldnt imagine moving in on my friends husband and daughter after she died...
But yes that is a good storyline...maybe i should write about it haha

Right, more random alternatives to a Kacklan outcome here but was just looking at something some folks were saying in the Ramsay thread and they're talking about Kate saying she didn't know her father, even though if she's got 16 and 9 yr old siblings that seems odd... So... (drumroll) Declan and Kate could maybe turn out to be siblings!  ...ok, it's a stretch. But you never know, it could happen! |

i would like Richard's relatives to come into the picture though..i reckon like a secret son or daughter of Richard's...or like a random Sibling of Richard's and their kids should appear, it'd make for good storylines...
alternatively Marcus Napier should come...i think seeing some of Rebecca and Declan's (And India!) relatives would be interesting
