James Sorensen has done exceptionally well in a highly competitive fi eld – The Australian Acting Industry. James started his career in 2004 with 6 weeks of acting work on the fi lm “Hating Alison Ashley” which starred Delta Goodrem. From there he went on to play one of the leading characters in the ABC production of “Blue Water High”. He is now working on the very popular and world syndicated series -”Neighbours” James plays “Declan” which is an ongoing role and says that he has enjoyed the many challenges of being a working actor. We must congratulate him on his achievements which are substantial – as 95% of actors are generally out of work! James spoke to our Year 8 Performance and Music classes as a part of Arts week and his stories certainly captivated and motivated our own aspiring students.
*thats what his old school website had to say about him haha*

Ta for those snippets. That high tea thing has that picture we were talking about ages ago... the one we said looked like a Margot look-alike. I still think she looks oddly not like herself in the face, but it seems to say it was her! Bizarre.

I was so sure it's not... it's so odd. Anyway. Also, I don't know why the person writing said the fashions were unusual and exotic, it all looks a bit like Next catalogue to me.
Good read though anyway.

I don't think the girl in the orange dress is Margot, there is a picture, I think number 15, that looks more like her.

OK, yeah you're right actually. I was just going off the writing bit which said Margot was in an orange dress but they must just not be Neighbours fans so got it wrong. Tut tut.

Someone on nfans found this - www.facebook.com/group.php?v=wall&ref=mf&gid=93609634170and said its a shame that James is planning to leave next year. I can't watch the vids as I'm not on facebook so can someone have a watch and see what they are talking about. I don't want to bounce just yet, but if he does leave in April I will be the happiest woman on the planet right now ;D. His nickname is Bambi...huh! ETA - here is what he has to say. Jason has been training me for almost 8 months now, and already the results I have achieved are amazing. Coming from a national level of competitive sport myself, including soccer, tennis and athletics, I knew the kind of training I needed, and not only did Jason meet my needs and expectations, but surpassed them. When I contacted Jason for the first time, my goals were to join the Australian Special Forces early next year (2010), in order to do this I needed to become extraordinarily fit in all aspects to even consider attempting the brutally tough, and physically and mentally demanding selection course. With 5 months of training to go, I have no doubt that the selection course will be do able, thanks to Jasons perseverance, knowledge, skill, and ability as a trainer and a person. Jason has helped me achieve my levels both physically and mentally. Jason is an amazing personal trainer, for any levels, from just wanting to tone up, to the wanting to be trained insanely tough like me. Not only with Jasons help will I meet my goals, but I will surpass them, and come out the otherside with a life long friend and a mentor. Thanks Jason, and looking forward to training this week. James Sorensen

Australian Special Forces . So it seems he wants to quit acting maybe . Not sure what to think...as long as he leaves neighbours sooner rather than later.

Blooming heck. I don't really know what Australian Special Forces are about... will wikipedia it in a minute. But it sounds like quite the career change! Don't know what to think about it myself :/ If it's anything like what the British equivalent is at the moment, with current global stuff, then it's... slightly dangerous. Not going to lie, I'd be happy if the character of Declan left, just for storyline's sake, but oh no! What have we wished on him! (Bit dramatic there but you know..)
Also, not to be funny but... he should probably being a bit more discrete about it than that. The vetting on this stuff is usually pretty intense.

I don't want Declan to leave because then we'd lose the nice Declan/Rebecca and Declan/Indy moments, and for my own personal shallowness! James is very into exercise and keeping fit, isn't he? He'd be a bit disappointed in me haha! I think it's a shame if he leaves acting completely though.
