You may have noticed when you logged onto Decget.com Today that it is in black and white at the moment. This is because we are participating in The Great Australian Internet Blackout. [If you want to change your skin back to its normal setting please feel free to do so by clicking on Profile at the top of the screen and then clicking on modify profile and the scroll down to select Skin and select 'Decget.com Forum' for the pink background or 'Default' for the white background. (Please note that I will not be changing everyone's skins back at the end of The Great Australian Internet Blackout so please change your own.)] The Great Australian Internet Blackout is a protest against the introduction of Mandatory Internet Filtering in Australia. The Mandatory Internet Filter will filter all Internet traffic coming through Australia and block anything the government doesn't want people to see. This will almost certainly include Download sites that host Neighbours and other Australian TV Programmes. If You would like more information about The Great Australian Internet Blackout or Mandatory Internet Filtering please Click The Link Below: www.internetblackout.com.au/

I really hope this doesn't happen. When would it come into effect?

The law hasn't passed yet as far as I am aware which is why they are protesting it, but it is feared that if it does go ahead other democratic countries such as the US and the UK will follow.
