When friends become lovers and lovers become friends, the whole world seems to turn inside out and nobody really knows where they stand! What to make of Steph and Toadie getting back together? Befuddled – what a cool word for it. I’m feeling pretty befuddled by it. With one eyebrow raised! Oh well, each to their own.
Can people who have feelings for each other remain friends, and for as long as Toadie and Steph did? Can friends become lovers and then friends again, and then lovers again? How does that work? Where does the line stop and where does it begin? Confused, I am!

It's been a pretty hectic day. Lucas must be feeling bad, poor guy never saw it coming. It's just weird. Always saw them as just friends. As Kate said, maybe they just figured being friends wasn't enough. I guess!

Now Lucas has moved in with us - and Donna’s back today! The Robinson house has turned into the house of loonies! Not that I’m implying that either Lucas or Donna are loonies :S

Moving on – Kate was ‘befuddled’ by Donna’s behaviour when she didn’t show up when she said she was coming back. I think that’s normal Donna-type behaviour, but Kate was rattled, and ‘befuddled’. She was just about to write Donna’s friendship off, completely, for standing her up. Dumped all Donna’s stuff at mine. So, I had to ‘de-befuddle’ her, if that’s a word, coffee helped, kind of!

Damage control – so I set up a meet with Donna, and got Kate to come with me on the pretence that I was taking her to a really nice park and café I knew out of town. I knew she wouldn’t go if I told her the truth. It worked, they’re talking and Donna’s coming back. Not that I’m that keen on her coming back, but if it works for Kate then I’m happy. She misses having her buddy around, and that’s cool by me, Kate needs that. Happy to assist when needed.

I know Didge would’ve forgiven Donna too. Seems women are far more forgiving than us blokes! Wonder why?

It’s Kate’s 18th next week. Apparently she had an 18th birthday wish list which she and her mum put together, when her mum was still alive. Sophie talked to mum about it, and she wants to do something special for her, as a surprise, cause she hasn’t got her mum around to do it. I hope Kate’ll be okay about that!

I’ve already found her birthday present. Feeling good I’m so organised today!

Indy’s playing up, wish Didge was here to give me some advice. The usual ways I settle her aren’t working. Kate suggested she's bored with her old toys and needs a doll. India's not into that kind of stuff. DIDGE I NEED YOU! I don’t know what to do. She’s sleeping now. I hope she’s more settled when she wakes up.

Bitten Twice!



Apparently I was a bit of a 'girl' asking Zeke whether you can fall in love twice! Yep - will put that down as one of my top awkward moments of 2010! It requires a certain level of emotional connectedness to be able to share something deep like that. I don't think Zeke and I have that shared level of emotional connectedness.
Thinking about Kate and wondering if I'll get this right. It's scary. It takes a lot of circumnavigation to steer through the emotional world girls tend to delve into. Note to myself: Need to be alert and pay attention!

Do you reckon it's too early to call her my girlfriend? Yeah, probably. I'll just refer to her as Kate, not my girl, for the moment!

I kissed Kate last night (writing that down even feels awkward, such a bloke). I thought it would be okay to call her in the morning, and then Donna said something which made me think it wouldn't be cool to call in the morning, and that Kate would have more important things to think about that day.

But...ringing her was expected. It's a mindfield I tell you

When I did get the idea in to my head that I had to call, she wasn't there and instead of trying her mobile, I left a message with her sister - not a good start!

Anyway, we cleared that one up - I think she forgave me because she knows....I'm just a guy.

Kate's great. It feels right. She's beautiful, warm, caring, loving. And she's fun. Sometimes in the deepest part of me I still find it hard to split my feelings for Bridget up and hand a shared piece over to Kate (whoa I'm getting deep here, that's good huh, good for a bloke). But life has to move on. Maybe... and this is an insane thought.... but, maybe Didge played a hand in this. That's a crazy idea I know, but it's the way I've got through it all, part of me holds on to the belief that Didge still lives in us, in Indy and I.

Anyway... I didn't need to ask Zeke that girly question.

I already knew the answer.

Me too... i dont know if i'm pissed off at this or not? it shows he's still struggling with Didge's death which is good but it also says that he thinks he's in love with Kate which is bad?

I think they should have called this one 'Dancing on my Wife's Grave'!

They haven't only crossed boundaries in this one but they spat on them on the way past!

It's one thing talking about his new relationship in the Diary, but to say Didge is responsible for it is just wrong!

And he needn't have been all jokey when he was talking about Didge either, he could have shown a bit more feeling in his writing, He hardly seems to be struggling with this at all!

No Declan the writers were responsible Kate. It was them that had her bond with you when your WIFE WAS DYING IN THE BUSH!!!!

That is why i will never like her. She was all over him when his wife was still there. And as soon as she died she was offering him baby clothes for India (because that makes sense considering her sister is 10???)

I never understood that either.

I think Kate has been pushing the boundaries much further than Declan, after all it was Didge who first tried to help her anyway.

I came to the conclusion the other day that the whole thing was Paul's fault.
If he hadn't pushed their mother into the path of a car they wouldn't have had to come to Ramsay Street.

Shout It Out



Lots of change, lots going on - for all of us. Uni-life has started. The campus is cool. It’s weird being in such a big place, a good weird. Feeling pretty good right now. Time does heal…
Strange things can happen when you let life take you where it wants to go. Kate and I are together, together, officially. There was a bit of confusion which I had to clear up, just a bloke thing not understanding what girls want/need from us. When you’re in to a girl you’ve got to be straight up and down, never think she knows what’s going on, because the likelihood of that is zero unless you’ve told her. So you pretty much have to get a loudspeaker and shout it out to the world… which is what I did! Just go with what you feel, and don’t over-think things. Sometimes us blokes do know what we’re doing! Girls are weird, take it from me, I should know!

I like being with Kate, feels good, figured I should go with that good feeling.

Zeke’s still a geek, but his PirateNet gig has given him a bit of ‘cool’ status. Not sure about Mia, seems a bit dodgy to me! Donna saw her speaking to Detective Skinner, which was no big surprise to me, I mean being in strife with the police seems to go hand-in-hand with her. There’s good reason for everyone being against her, that’s just my opinion. Zeke needs to get another girlfriend if you ask me!

And Lucas needs to back off from Steph, she’s with Toadie. He’s fighting a losing battle! But again, like Zeke, you can’t tell them, they’ll figure it out for themselves.

Went to the shops with Indy and Kate today. Bought Indy a green hat for St Patrick’s Day… I think she wanted the pink one! Can’t believe my daughter ‘s into Pink. More to the point I can’t believe Didge’s daughter is into PINK! PINK was never Didge’s thing, and it’s never been mine…so, where did she get this PINK thing from? :s

Yuck, I do not like the diary entries anymore. Why have they got Indie into a 'pink' thing anyway? She's not even one yet so why would they even think that she's into pink |: I think it's trying to help ease Kate into being a 'mum' because she's 'girlie' and now Indie apparently is too. I didn't like the Bridget mentions at all this week, they shouldn't of even bothered with them. It's just made me angry.
