Declan takes on Johnno!
Distraught over the death of his wife, the Ramsay Street teen confronts the man he blames for cutting Bridget's life short
Shattered by the death of his young wife Bridget and determined to bring into account the man who caused it, Declan puts his life in danger this week when he takes the law into his own hands. Aware that loan shark Johnno (Damien Aylward) sabotaged the Parker family car before the fatal accident, Declan sets out to extract a confession from the local thug. But when Johnno continues to deny any involvement, Declan takes what may be a deadly risk in his quest for justice. James Sorensen, who plays the grieving husband, fills us in on the tense scenes.
How does Declan learn about what Johnno did to Steve and Miranda's car?
There's an article about it in the local paper and when Declan reads it, he loses the plot. Things keep on piling up for him - just when he comes to terms with one thing, something else happens. He's devastated.
Declan really hasn't given himself a chance to grieve over Bridget's death, has he?
No, he's just a mess - an absolute mess. But for now, he's simply focusing all his attention on trying to get revenge. When Johnno's released from custody, because there's not enough evidence to pin the sabotage of the car on him, Declan becomes even more of a wreck. That's when he goes on his own little vendetta.
Before this, Declan turns on Lucas and Elle. Why?
He gives Lucas a piece of his mind for not telling him what's been going on with Johnno earlier. When they're waiting at the police station, he also lashes out at Elle for putting the story in the paper instead of coming to him first with the story to fill him in. Declan questions where Elle's loyalties lie. The only one Declan doesn't lash out at is his mum, Rebecca.
What happens next?
When Johnno is released from the police station, Declan goes outside to get some fresh air and try to clear his head a little bit. He sees Johnno walking out and decides to try and set things straight with him once and for all.
It's then that Declan takes a massive risk. Tell us what he does.
Declan ends up following Johnno into the hotel. He manages to get a key from the reception and decides to wait in his room. But Declan may be in for quite a shock. Johnno's very experienced when it comes to these types of confrontations.
Is Declan way out of his depth here?
He could well be! Declan is a little boy in comparison to Johnno - he really doesn't know what he's going to do or say when he sees him. And Johnno can be very intimidating. But Declan's lost everything in his life that matters to him, apart from his daughter, India. Bridget was his everything and now his world has crumbled. He believes that the only way he's going to get proper answers - and the correct answers - is by going straight to the source.
How did you feel about this storyline?
One of my concerns was that Declan would get over his grief in a short time. I felt very strongly that it wouldn't be right. His soulmate has died and you don't get over something like that in four weeks - it takes years, maybe a lifetime. But I can tell you it will be a long road to recovery for Declan. He just carries on for India - that's how Bridget lives on for him.

I have highlighted the best bit . Best news I have heard for ages. I trust James to do the right thing with Declan...or else .
